Move Forward Through The Grief of Pet Loss.

Who Else Wants To Move Forward Through The Grief of Pet Loss...? Rather Than Sitting and Crying Helplessly?”

As a kid I was heartbroken when my favorite pet passed away, his name was max the most amazing dog in the entire world. My father came home one day with max in his hands and gave it to me for my birthday, my very own beagle to play with. From that very day max and I grew together running through the house making mom go crazy at times.

Man how I love that dog even now that I am forty years old I remember max all the times. I always talk to my kids about max and how good was the dog at finding things. I could hide my toys any where inside the house or even the park near our home in little rock and max would always found it. After the entire beagle dog breed in one of the best hunting dogs in the world. Mr. Stevens our next door neighbor told me all about the dog and its powerful scent of smell. Perhaps max was one of the best things in my life and now a share that story with my kids. Unlike me they preferred cats for pets; hey the world is not perfect but we manage our pets’ preferences in the family pretty good.

Now comes the sad part of the story of max and me. Like all living organisms in our planet he passed away. The vet simply explains to me that he had die of old age and that years in dogs were calculated different than human beings.  I could not accepted that my best friend pass away son soon, for weeks I was very sadden and I did not wanted to go to school. My father tried getting me down to the local pets shop but I refused to go.  But I was pretty grown to understand that I have to move on and that feeling the painful grief for the lost was normal.  Now that I am an adult I fully understand the importance of loving someone from the heart, I always tell my kids that.  Max was too much of a good friend to me and one that was always by mi side so it is understandable to have felt that way when he passed. However like me there are so many people in the world that could not move on from losing a pet. I read a book about pets a few months ago that explain some good points about the topic. I am not much of a reader aside from the newspaper but I did read the entire book and it was great.  The author clearly knew what he was writing instead of trying to sale a book.

I decide to learn more about the topic online and I found a forum that brought many animals lover together to tell their stories. So for the past three months I learn so much about dogs is amazing. One topic that kept always being brought up was the aftermath when pets passed away. One post in the forum have more than four thousand comments, the post was from a frequent user his name is Josh Bash great guy. We learn so much from each other and of course other participants in the forum as well. One of the most important thing when going to a sad moment like this is to have someone to talk to, it feels really good that you will not be ridicule or taken for a sucker when expressing your feelings out in the open.

In some cases people need counseling to help with the lost and to be honest with you I highly recommend you speak with someone and learn how to deal with the greed.  I want to take the time to thank you all for taking time of your day to read my story and it you want to speak to me or want me to help you in any way to move on with the lost I will leave a link here to all my forms of communications. I will also encourage you reading what Josh Bash has available to further assist you.  “Learn How to Deal With Grief of a Pet Loss”
